Your examination results

The radiologist’s report and your images are promptly forwarded to your doctor.
An additional CD of your images can be purchased for $20, where required. Cash or credit card payment can be made at the Cashier’s Office in the main Alfred Hospital Cheques will be accepted at the Radiology Reception areas.

Please tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as this may affect your examination.

X-rays
All body parts including Intravenous Pyelography and gastrointestinal contrast studies.

CT Scan (Computed Tomography)
Includes CT diagnostic and interventional of all body parts, such as CT Head, Abdominal CT, Cardiac CT Angiography, CT Colonoscopy.

DEXA (Bone Densitometry)
Osteoporosis assessment.

Mammography
Mammograms and Breast Biopsy Procedures, and tumour localisation.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound guided procedures, Abdominal and Renal Ultrasound, and Diagnostic and Doppler Ultrasound.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
GP and Specialist Referrals.

Interventional Procedures  
These consist of Fluoroscopy, Angiography such as Fibroid Arterial Embolisation, angioplasty and stent insertion.
Vascular intervention including uterine artery embolisation, tumour embolisation, Intracranial procedures including endovascular coiling of aneurysms, Radiofrequency ablation and Venous ablation. Liver and bile duct interventions.
Diagnostic X-ray such as Barium Enema (BE) Lower GI Study.
